Clients
This spacious and unusual apartment belongs to a young couple, interested in travel, art and contemporary design. They wanted to reflect all this in their new apartment; therefore, in the initial requirements for the project, they voiced only a few wishes, like a stylish, strict, elegant and tasteful interior. At the same time, it should turn out to be warm and cozy, one that you want to return to every day.
Decision
The project authors offered the owners an interesting and laconic option, after having received carte blanche from the customers to create an interior. It is a reminiscent of the style of the British designer Tom Dixon works, who masterly combining classical natural materials and innovative technological ideas in his projects, thanks to which each of its objects is distinguished by originality, restraint and refinement.
Apartment space is traditionally divided into a public and a private area. The spacious living room is combined with the dining room and the bedroom with a bathroom. To free up and visually expand the room as much as possible, the doors in the living room and bedroom were abandoned. The authors of the project used a classic technique for zoning space in the form of columns, each of which performs a functional part, providing a spacious niche for storage.
In addition, the columns are equipped with hanging shelves for decorative elements that are abundant in the interior. In addition, the designers used the contrast technique in two aspects at once, harmoniously combining the rough texture of embossed cold stone covering the walls in the living room and bedroom and warm smooth wood for floor decoration. The same technique can be run in the color scheme, balancing between warm honey shades and cold gray colors, effectively shading each other.
Specialty
Sophisticated lighting scenarios, allowing the home owners to create a special mood in the space and change it, depending on their wishes and it`s a one of the main interior components. This is the idea of changeability and comfort that is reflected by the pendant lamp and floor lamp from the Leaves collection, developed by the Ukrainian designer Kateryna Sokolova for the Bolia Scandinavian brand.
The leaf-shaped lampshades attached to the profile can be turned into different directions, changing the direction of the light source and adapting it to your needs.
Designers proposed the Tree floor lamp and pendant lamp from BOCCI Canadian brand to create a romantic atmosphere in the bedroom, which lighting unites the room in a single whole and softens the overall restrained picture.
