People

The interior was created for a married couple with two children, and the main requirements for them were comfort, convenience and aesthetics, combined with the emphasized quality of each item they chose. The owners of the house wanted to surround themselves with cozy details, avoiding fake gloss and frills.

Solutions

The spacious “T” shaped house of 271 m² is divided into a public and a private area.

The first one includes a garage for two cars (has two entrances, from the street and the inner corridor), technical rooms (laundry and boiler room), a guest bathroom and a large “Г” shaped living room that contains a corner kitchen, dining room and recreation area. In addition, this multifunctional room provides access to the open terrace. The second part of the house is traditionally occupied by private rooms. There is the owner's bedroom (with a dressing room and a bathroom), a workroom and two children's rooms (with a separate bathroom).

The interior is designed in a calm color scheme, combining basic white, cream and ivory. There is a pleasant balance between restraint and light romanticism, inspired by the works of French decorators with their love of experimentation and stylistic mixology in the overall style.

This contrast can be seen in the living room where a strict composition of the dining table and chairs by Minotti ends with a graceful Bolle chandelier by Galotti[&]Radice, consisting of spherical glass diffusers, sealed with a frame of polished brass. And all this against the background of a dark herringbone parquet floor and light walls, which smooth surfaces are diluted with inclusions in the shape of classic trompe-l'œil (a technique when the doorways outlines are created with the help of stucco molding, which illusory expand the room).

Features

An identical method is applied to the main bedroom, which isn`t devoid of grace and harmony, built on the contrast of light and dark shades of the finishing materials and furniture. In addition, the interior has a large number of glossy surfaces and mirrors of various shapes and sizes for visual increase of the area.
