A young couple who purchased an apartment in the residential buildings called “French Quarter 2” is a customer of the interior project. This is the first private property of spouses. The apartment area is small, it`s just 41 m2. Therefore, it is obvious that the main customers` desire for ZOOI design studio was to find the ways to increase the space practically and visually, as well as to accommodate all the necessary things.
Design
Pavel Voytov, the author of the interior, knows how much a competent redevelopment can change, especially when there is a "struggle for useful meters". That`s why there was a decision to combine a kitchen with a living room, so as not to crush out the already small space between the walls. In addition, Pavel abandoned the generally accepted idea of complete enclosure of bedrooms and bathrooms from other rooms. The designer has combined two rooms into a kind of box in which there is no "front" wall. Instead, there are curtains that, if required, can be opened and combine all the apartment`s rooms in one open space, together with the kitchen and living room.
A passage from the bedroom into a small living room was created while some planning decisions. It is very practical for the movement of two people in such a compact apartment.
The kitchen interior turned out to be functional and very atmospheric. That`s why and thanks’ to it and the planning decision, the design project received “Citizen Interior” working name. Everything is “concise”, compact, but practical and urban enough here.
The Loft interior style is realized with the simple materials and ascetic solutions such as glass, micro cement and building tiles. The ceilings are decorated with a concrete. A massive “Two-sided” box, like a pillar, separates the kitchen from the hallway.
Schtick
The interior items that were chosen by designers for this apartment are real rarities. For example, a hallway mirror was made with the aged effect. The interior designer has found a 70s Chesterfield sofa for the living room. An open exhaust hood in the kitchen, with the simple industrial shelves “attached” to it, brought a unique fabrication element and authenticity to this loft interior.
