The owner, a young successful man, appealed to Zooi studio for two purposes: interior design for the office and the cottage. We had to design the country house from scratch and at the same time we should have considered the specific goal of this home - rest and chat with friends.

The customer himself is engaged in «smart home» systems, so the project should be provided by everything needed for the subsequent installation of the central control. To Zooi studio also has been entrusted the architecture of the house and the decisions for the surrounding territory.

We proposed an architectural project with the maximum open design to give the possibility to enjoy the nature and relaxation beside the pool. Zooi architects offered to make the roof in the same shape as roofs of the other buildings in the cottage settlement in order to give to this house an organic look in its infrastructure.

The house is finished by high strength HPL-panels and facade plaster. The terrace of the ground floor is a relax area intended for leisure and entertainment, an open space divided by the wood burning fireplace. Under the stairs there is the bathroom. On the same floor a sauna and the "smart home" controlled system. In the second floor there is the bedroom, the bathroom and the wardrobe. The pool cover is the lawn that goes down under the terrace.

The kitchen that has been selected is sensational in the design environments. It is a creation of Minacciolo factory - laconic, functional and effective.

As we already mentioned, energy saving systems, multimedia and swimming pool are all controlled by "domestic intelligence". Among all these author’s decisions we want to emphasize the stairs fenced with ropes, a sculpture of a fish and an unusual device - an empty frame near a graphic picture.
